Parents, Players and Administrators continue to improve facilities

The Page Patriots baseball program take another step toward their ultimate goal of building a hitting facility.  On Saturday, a group of parents and players erected two 70' batting cages down the left field line.  With these new cages, coaches can now maximize time when designing and implementing practices.  It will be an integral part of preparing for a very tough district and non-district schedule in 2017 that includes the defending AA State Champions, AA State runner-up, and 3 other 2016 State Tournament teams.

The cages are the 2nd phase in a multi-phase project to erect a hitting pavilion and bring the Page Baseball facilities on par with others in the county.  The parents and players have worked extremely hard to raise money for this program and continue to upgrade our baseball field.  Last Spring we were able to pour concrete around an existing pad creating room for the two 70' cages.  With the help of administrators, we were able to purchase turf and cages to be put on the pad.  Next, parents will help erect a wall down the left field line to complete the enclosure of the field.  The program is now in the beginning stages of a fundraising plan to raise money to put a metal roof over the cages to enable players to utilize the facility in all types of weather.

The latest addition is just another example of the dedication that our parents and players have in creating the best facilities possible.
